Working with CIO

Government Connect are committed to working with the local authority technical community. We are actively engaged with the community including;

• 2 local authority CIO Council members sitting on the Government Connect board
  
• Commissioning a SOCITM report into the challenges facing local authorities around GC
  
• A SOCITM hosted discussion forum on http://www.socitm.gov.uk/socitm/news/GovXchange.htm
  
• An ongoing seminar programme for local authorities <events>
  
• Regional Account Managers available to all local authorities to answer questions on the Code of Connection and connecting to Government Connect
  

In addition, GC are looking to put additional packages of support in place, based on the feedback received from the above activities, to assist local authorities in connecting to Government Connect.

The exact detail of additional help available to local authorities will be discussed with the CIO Council and announced on www.govconnect.gov.uk
